Explaining payment options to your seller
Updated 2 min read
After the seller agrees to the proposal, their payment page asks how they'd like to pay. Which options they see depends on the campaign total, including the $45 VPA Connect platform fee.
| Option | On the seller's page | Available for | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Card | Pay Now by Card | Campaigns up to $5,000 | Smaller campaigns; paid straight away |
| Bank transfer | Pay Now by EFT | Any amount | Sellers who'd rather transfer from their own account |
| Pay Later | Pay Later, through Campaign Flow | Campaigns over $1,000 and up to $50,000 | Sellers who'd rather not pay upfront |
What to tell your seller
- Card is the quickest: the campaign shows Paid straight away.
- Bank transfer gives the seller bank details and a payment reference on the page. They must use the reference exactly as shown. A transfer usually takes 1 to 3 business days; until it all arrives, the campaign shows Pending to you (see The seller says they've paid).
- Pay Later is finance from Campaign Flow, a separate company. The seller applies through Campaign Flow, which runs its own identity check and sends its own agreement to sign. Pay Later has its own costs and terms, set by Campaign Flow: point the seller to Campaign Flow's FAQ and to Campaign Flow for the costs that apply to them. Don't quote costs yourself.
"What if the property doesn't sell?" That depends on the seller's agency agreement (and, with Pay Later, their finance terms), not on VPA Connect.
"Is this legitimate?" The payment page is VPA Connect's, and emails come from VPA Connect. VPA Connect never emails new bank details out of the blue. If the seller is unsure, they can check the details with you before paying. See Emails you'll receive and who sends them.
Why can't my seller see an option?
- Card greyed out: the campaign is over $5,000. The card option tells the seller the limit and which options to use instead.
- No Pay Later: the campaign is $1,000 or less, or over $50,000.
- No option at all: the page says "No payment option is available for this amount". Raise it through the help form (see Getting help).
