Add a supplier
Updated 3 min read
Before you can put a supplier on a campaign, they need to be on VPA Connect. Suppliers in the sidebar lists the suppliers you can use.

The tabs (marker 1) split the list by relationship:
- In-house: supplier accounts your agency runs itself.
- Contractors: independent suppliers linked to your agency only.
- VPA directory: suppliers any agency can use.
A supplier can be paid once their status is Complete (marker 3), which means they've finished setting up with Stripe. A contractor shows Invite sent until they accept, then Onboarding while they set up.
Property portals such as realestate.com.au and Domain aren't suppliers: your agency pays them directly.
Choose how to add them

- Select Add supplier (marker 2 in the first screenshot). The Add a supplier panel opens.
- Choose how the supplier joins:
| Option | Use it for | Who runs the account | Who can see them |
|---|---|---|---|
| Create an in-house supplier (marker 1) | Services your agency provides itself, such as your own signboards | Your agency: you enter the business and bank details | Only your agency |
| Invite a contractor (marker 2) | A supplier who works for you | The supplier | Only your agency |
| Invite a supplier to VPA (marker 3) | A supplier you'd like on VPA Connect who may work for other agencies too | The supplier | All agencies |
Invite a contractor
- Choose Invite a contractor, type their Email and select Send invitation. "Invitation sent" appears.
- The supplier receives an email, registers and sets up their Stripe account. Until then they show Invite sent or Onboarding.
Invite the person who runs the supplier's business on VPA Connect. If someone else registered that business already, the person you invited can't join it by registering with its ABN: their sign-up becomes a request that the business's Admin must approve, and your invitation stays at Invite sent even after the approval. Ask the supplier which email their business uses on VPA Connect and invite that one.
To cancel an invitation that hasn't been accepted, open the supplier and choose to cancel the pending invite.
Invite a supplier to the VPA directory
Choose Invite a supplier to VPA and either send the invitation by email or copy the registration link to send yourself. The supplier registers independently; once they're Active you'll find them under VPA directory.
Create an in-house supplier
Choose Create an in-house supplier, enter the business and bank details and select Create account. It still needs to finish Stripe setup before it can be paid. Paying it is covered in Pay an in-house supplier.
My supplier isn't in the list on a campaign
When you add an item, the supplier list has two groups: Agency Suppliers (your in-house suppliers and contractors) and All Suppliers (the VPA directory). A contractor who works only for another agency isn't shown. If your supplier is missing, check they've accepted your invitation and that their service type matches the item's Type.
Unlinking a contractor (Admin or Director)
An Admin or the Director can unlink a contractor from the supplier's panel. They return to the public VPA directory; their account and campaign history are kept.
