Fees and limits

Updated 3 min read

These are the numbers that decide what a seller pays, how a seller can pay, and what a supplier receives. They are set by VPA Connect and can change; this page is updated when they do.

For sellers

The platform fee

A seller's marketing proposal with marker 1 on the Platform Fee line, $45.00, below the supplier items.

The VPA Connect platform fee is a line of its own on your proposal (marker 1), so the total you see is the total you pay. It is $45 per campaign. If your campaign was created before the current fee began, it is 0.5% of the campaign instead, and your proposal shows the exact amount.

Why can't I pay by card?

Payment options for a 6,235 campaign, which is over the card limit: marker 1 on Pay Later, marker 2 on Pay Now by EFT, and marker 3 on Pay Now by Card, which is greyed out and says Card payments are available up to 5,000. Use bank transfer or Pay Later for this amount.

Card payments are limited to $5,000, including the platform fee. If your campaign is more, the Pay Now by Card option is greyed out and says "Card payments are available up to $5,000. Use bank transfer or Pay Later for this amount." (marker 3). You can choose Pay Later (marker 1), if your campaign qualifies, or Pay Now by EFT (marker 2), a bank transfer from your own account.

Why can't I see Pay Later?

Pay Later through Campaign Flow is offered for campaigns over $1,000 and up to $50,000. Outside that range it isn't shown. Pay Later has its own costs, set by Campaign Flow and shown in your finance agreement. Read Campaign Flow's FAQ and ask Campaign Flow for the costs and terms that apply to you before you apply.

If no payment option is offered at all, the page says No payment option is available for this amount. Contact your agent, who can arrange an alternative.

For suppliers

Why is my payout less than the job amount?

A supplier's payment request form for a $650 job. Marker 1 is on Your Payout and marker 2 on the Platform Fee row, which appears only when a fee applies.
Open full size: A supplier's payment request form for a $650 job. Marker 1 is on Your Payout and marker 2 on the Platform Fee row, which appears only when a fee applies. (opens in a new tab)

When you submit a payment request, Your Payout (marker 1) shows what you will receive. VPA Connect doesn't deduct a supplier platform fee at present. If a fee is introduced, it will appear as a Platform Fee row (marker 2) before you submit, so you always see your payout first. The screenshot comes from a test system where a fee is switched on.

A deposit in your bank can also differ from one job's amount because Stripe can combine several payments into one deposit.

For agency staff

  • If a seller's campaign is over the card limit, they can still pay by bank transfer or, within its range, Pay Later.
  • On campaigns created before 17 August 2026, deleting or reducing an item can leave the platform fee line higher than it should be. If that happens, raise it through the help form (see Getting help).
