Emails you'll receive and who sends them
Updated 3 min read
Three companies may email you about a campaign. Knowing which is which helps you tell a real email from a scam, and know where to look when one is missing.
Who sends what
| Sender | Shows as | What they send |
|---|---|---|
| VPA Connect | "VPA Connect", from a vpaconnect.com.au address | Proposals and payment links, approval requests, reminders, payment and completion notices, staff and supplier invitations |
| Stripe | Stripe | Receipts for some payments and refunds. For suppliers: sign-in codes and requests for information about your Stripe account |
| Campaign Flow | Campaign Flow | Only if the seller chose Pay Later: the finance application, identity check and the agreement to sign |
VPA Connect never emails you new bank details out of the blue. Bank transfer details appear on your payment page. If an email asks you to pay into a different account, don't pay it: call your agent on a number you already have.
Emails by reader
Sellers
- Your agent's marketing proposal, with your secure payment link. The link works for 48 hours.
- A new link, if you asked for one from an expired link.
- Bank transfer reminders on days 1, 2 and 3 while a transfer is still outstanding.
- Requests to approve a change: a new item, a new supplier or extra funding.
- A notice when an item is cancelled or closed and its money becomes refund credit.
- A completion email when the agency completes the campaign, with a summary of where your money went, your tax invoices and a link to your completed campaign.
- A receipt, VPA Connect: Payment received, each time a card or bank transfer payment is received: for the campaign, a balance owing, additional funding or changes you approved. (Pay Later payments are confirmed by Campaign Flow.)
Agency staff
- Invitations to join an agency, and notices about staff changes.
- When the seller pays, approves or declines a change, and a bank transfer reminder if the seller still hasn't paid after the seller's reminders.
- When a supplier asks to be paid or asks for extra funding.
- When a campaign is ready to complete, with reminders after 14, 30 and 60 days.
- Subscription notices (Director and Admin).
Suppliers
- An invitation to join VPA Connect, and reminders until registration is finished.
- A new job, once the seller has paid for it.
- When your payment request is released (with your invoice) or rejected.
- When an item is cancelled or closed, and the seller's decision on extra funding.
- VPA Connect doesn't email you to confirm it received your payment request. You can see it on your Outstanding page.
If an email doesn't arrive
- Check the address. Ask your agent which email address they used. A typo is the most common cause.
- Check junk and spam, and any "Promotions" or "Other" tab. Search your mailbox for "VPA Connect".
- Wait a few minutes, then look again. Some mail systems delay messages from new senders.
- Ask for it again. Sellers: open your last link; if it has expired, select Send me a new link. Agency staff: open the campaign and use Resend link to seller, which appears once the last link has expired while the campaign is Pending or Partially paid, or Copy Seller Campaign Link at any time to send the link yourself.
- Ask your IT team (work email) whether messages from vpaconnect.com.au are blocked.
If none of this works, contact your agent, or agency staff can use the help form. See Getting help.
Good to know
- If the seller chose Pay Later, Campaign Flow can't change the seller's email address once the application has started. The agent and seller must sort this out with Campaign Flow.
- A payment link stops working after 48 hours. If yours has expired, open it anyway and select Send me a new link.
