"The proposal has been revised": reviewing an updated proposal
Updated 2 min read
Your agent has changed the proposal since you approved it, so you need to approve the new version before you pay. Your agent can change a proposal until it's paid: add or remove an item, change an amount, or change a supplier. Your earlier approval stays on record, but it doesn't cover the changes.
When your agent sends a revised proposal, you get a new email from VPA Connect with the subject Updated marketing proposal from your agency. It says the proposal has been updated and replaces the one sent earlier.

- Open the link in the newest email. The page says The proposal has been revised — please review and approve the updated version (marker 1).
- Read Changes since the last proposal (marker 2). It lists each item that was added, removed or changed, with the old and new amounts, and the old and new total. In this example the copywriting line went from $350.00 to $420.00.
- Check the items and the total below it, then select Approve (marker 3). Your payment options open. See Choosing how to pay.
If you hadn't approved the earlier version, you won't see the banner: the page simply shows the latest proposal to approve.
If you see "This proposal has been revised — please review the updated version"
Your agent changed the proposal while you had the page open, so your approval wasn't saved. Select Refresh. The latest version opens, ready to review and approve.
Common questions
Why did I get another email? Your agent changed the proposal and sent you the new version to approve.
What changed? The Changes since the last proposal box lists it. If it says the items and total are the same, your agent resent the proposal without changing it. Ask your agent why anything changed.
Does my earlier approval count? It stays on record for the earlier version. To pay, you need to approve the current one.
Can I still use the link from the first email? Yes, if it hasn't expired. Every link opens the latest version.
