"Waiting for your bank transfer"
Updated 3 min read
Your campaign is waiting for your transfer to arrive. Once you choose Pay Now by EFT, your campaign page shows this banner until the money has arrived and been matched to your campaign. The page updates by itself; you don't need to do anything else once you've sent the right amount with the right reference.

Select View transfer details (marker 1) to see the account details, the payment reference and the amount still to send.
When part of the money has arrived

If you've sent less than the full amount, the transfer details show only what's still to send (markers 1 and 2). In this example, $2,000 of $4,785 has arrived, so the page asks for $2,785.00. Send the rest to the same account, with the same payment reference.
The total at the top of your campaign page stays at the full campaign amount. Check View transfer details for the amount still to send.
When the money has arrived
The transfer details page says Payment received: "We've received your bank transfer. Your campaign is on its way." Your campaign page shows PAID. See Payment received: what happens now.
Common questions
I've paid. Why does it still say waiting? Bank transfers usually take 1 to 3 business days to arrive, and the banner stays until the money is matched to your campaign. When it arrives, VPA Connect emails you a receipt ("VPA Connect: Payment received"). If it still says waiting after 3 business days, check with your bank that the transfer left your account, then contact your agent with the date, amount and reference you used.
I sent the wrong amount. If you sent too little, send the rest (see above). If you sent too much, your receipt shows the full amount you sent and says the extra is held as refund credit on your campaign. It can pay for changes you approve, and whatever is left is returned to you when the campaign is completed.
I paid twice. The second payment counts as paying too much, so it's treated the same way: your receipt says the extra is held as refund credit on your campaign, and whatever is left is returned to you when the campaign is completed. If that doesn't look right, contact your agent.
I forgot the reference, or typed it wrongly. Stripe tries to match a transfer by its reference first, then by the exact amount. If your transfer can't be matched, contact your agent with the date and amount you sent. Stripe returns money it can't match after 75 days.
I have more than one transfer waiting. This can happen if you also approved a change and chose bank transfer for it. Money that arrives is applied to the oldest transfer first, so it may not land on the one you meant. Contact your agent if the amounts don't look right.
Why am I getting reminder emails? While a transfer is outstanding, VPA Connect emails you a reminder on days 1, 2 and 3. If you've already paid, you can ignore them: the reminders stop once the money arrives.
