Choosing how to pay: card, bank transfer or Pay Later

Updated 3 min read

Once you've approved the proposal, your payment options open. You can also reach them at any time before you've paid by selecting Pay at the top of your campaign page. The options you see depend on the campaign total.

When an option isn't offered

No Pay Later: the campaign is $1,000 or less, or more than $50,000. In this example (markers 1 and 2) the campaign is $990, so you can pay by bank transfer or card. If Campaign Flow has declined an application for this campaign, the Pay Later option is still shown but has no button.

Payment options for a 6,235 campaign, which is over the card limit: marker 1 on Pay Later, marker 2 on Pay Now by EFT, and marker 3 on Pay Now by Card, which is greyed out and says Card payments are available up to 5,000. Use bank transfer or Pay Later for this amount.

Card unavailable: the campaign, including the platform fee, is more than $5,000. The Pay Now by Card option is greyed out and says "Card payments are available up to $5,000. Use bank transfer or Pay Later for this amount." (marker 3). In this example the campaign is $6,235, so you can choose Pay Later (marker 1) or a bank transfer (marker 2). If Pay Later isn't offered either, the line names bank transfer only.

If the page says No payment option is available for this amount, contact your agent, who can arrange an alternative.

Common questions

Which option should I pick? It depends on whether you want to pay now or later:

  • To pay now with no card needed, choose Pay Now by EFT.
  • To pay now on a card, choose Pay Now by Card, if your campaign is $5,000 or less.
  • To pay nothing now, choose Pay Later, if it's offered. Read Campaign Flow's costs and terms first: see Campaign Flow's FAQ and ask Campaign Flow.

Why is card limited to $5,000? VPA Connect sets the limit for card payments. Larger campaigns can be paid by bank transfer, for any amount, or with Pay Later.

Is there a surcharge for paying by card? No. The amount on Stripe's payment page is your campaign total, the same as on your proposal.

How fast does each option start my campaign? A card payment starts it straight away. A bank transfer starts it once the money arrives and is matched, which the page says usually takes 1 to 3 business days. Pay Later starts it once Campaign Flow has approved your application and you've signed the finance agreement.

What if the property doesn't sell? Whether unspent marketing money comes back depends on your agency agreement and, with Pay Later, the finance terms. Ask your agent.
