Pay by card

You can pay by Visa or Mastercard when your campaign, including the platform fee, is $5,000 or less. The payment is taken by Stripe, a payments company, on its own secure page.

Part 1: Go to Stripe's payment page

  1. On your payment options, select Pay Now by Card (see Choosing how to pay). The button says "Redirecting to checkout…" and Stripe's payment page opens.
  2. Check the page. It lists each item, the platform fee and the Total due, which matches your proposal. Your email address is already filled in.

Part 2: Pay on Stripe's page

  1. Type your card number, expiry date and the 3-digit code from the back of the card under Card information.
  2. Type the name on the card under Cardholder name, and check Country or region.
  3. Stripe may offer Save my information with Link for faster checkout next time. It's optional: untick it if you don't want it, or it asks for your phone number.
  4. Select Pay. Stripe takes the payment and returns you to your campaign page.

Part 3: Check the payment went through

  1. Look for the green banner Your card payment has been received. Thank you! (marker 1). You can close the window.
  2. Check the campaign shows PAID (marker 2). If it doesn't yet, open your link again in a few minutes: the page shows the payment once it has been processed. See Payment received: what happens now.

Common questions

Is card payment safe? Yes. You type your card details on Stripe's page, at checkout.stripe.com, not on VPA Connect. VPA Connect never sees or stores your card number.

Will I be charged extra for using a card? No. VPA Connect doesn't add a card surcharge. The total on Stripe's page is your campaign total.

I changed my mind on Stripe's page. How do I go back? Select the back arrow at the top left of Stripe's page. You return to your campaign page and nothing is charged.
