Invite someone to your team

Admins of a supplier business can invite colleagues, so each person has their own login to the business's jobs. Members can't invite; ask an Admin of your business (see Your team).

Send an invitation

Select your name at the top of the sidebar to open your Account page, then select Invite to team in the Team section.

  1. Type their First Name and Last Name.
  2. Type their Email: the address they'll sign in with.
  3. Leave Admin off to invite them as a Member, or turn it on to invite them as an Admin (see What Admins and Members can do).
  4. Select Send invite. A message "Invitation sent to …" appears, and they're listed under Invitations with the date the invitation expires.

If you see "The invitation was saved, but we could not confirm the email was sent. Check with them before resending.", the invitation is listed but may not have arrived. Ask them before resending it.

You can't invite someone who is already on your team or already has an invitation waiting. Someone you removed, or whose request you declined, can be invited again.

What they receive

An email from VPA Connect titled "VPA Connect: Invitation to join!", saying that you have invited them to join your business, with an Accept Invite button. The email doesn't say whether they'll be an Admin or a Member; the page the button opens does. What they do next is in Accept an invitation to a supplier team.

They don't register a business or set up Stripe: they join yours. Someone who already uses VPA Connect (for example, at another supplier business) can accept with their existing login and keep their other businesses.

Resend, correct or cancel an invitation

Under Invitations, each invitation shows when it expires (marker 1). Select ⋯ beside it to:

  • Resend invitation (marker 2): emails a fresh link that lasts another 30 days. You can correct their name or email first. The link in the earlier email stops working.
  • Edit details (marker 3): change their name or email. Changing the email sends the invitation to the new address; a name change sends nothing.
  • Cancel invitation (marker 4): asks you to confirm, then the link stops working and VPA Connect emails them to say the invitation was cancelled. You can invite them again later.

An invitation expires after 30 days and then shows "expired: resend to renew". Select Resend invitation to send a new link.
