Request additional funding
Updated 2 min read
If a job grows beyond its quote, ask for extra funding before you do the extra work. The agency decides first, then the seller approves and pays. You can request payment for the extra amount only once the seller has paid it.
You can ask once per job, and only while the job is Held (before any of it has been paid out).
Send the request

Open the job from your Outstanding page and select Request additional funding.
- In Item name, describe the extra work. The job's name is filled in; change it to something the seller will recognise, such as "Extra twilight drone shots".
- In Reason, say why it's needed and who asked for it.
- Type the Amount inc. GST, in whole dollars.
- Select Request additional funding. A "Request Created" message appears, and you and the agency are emailed.
What happens next

- The job shows where your request is up to under Request additional funding, which is now greyed out:
| Caption | What it means |
|---|---|
| Requested for $… | The agency hasn't decided yet |
| Requested for $… — awaiting seller approval | The agency accepted it and sent it to the seller |
| Requested and APPROVED for $… | The seller approved it and is paying |
| Requested and funded for $… | The seller has paid. The extra amount is yours to request |
| Request rejected (was $…) | The agency or the seller said no |
While the seller is deciding, the extra amount appears on your Outstanding page as its own line marked Awaiting seller payment. Once the seller pays, it becomes Held and you request payment for it like any job (see Submit a payment request).
You're emailed when the agency or the seller rejects the request, when the seller approves it, and when the seller's payment arrives.
If it's rejected
You can't send a second request for the same job. Talk to the agent about the extra work; the agency can add a new item to the campaign for it.
