VPA Connect

Supplier setup checklist

Updated 1 min read

Five things to do once, so you can be paid through VPA Connect. The first two are required; you're set up when your Outstanding Services page opens after you sign in.

This checklist is for the person setting up the business. If you were invited to a business that's already set up, there's nothing to set up: accept the invitation (see Accept an invitation to a supplier team). Steps 3 and 4 are for the business's Admins.

  1. Enter your business details. Your ABN, trading name, address, bank account and the services you provide. See Register as a supplier, parts 1 to 6.
  2. Register with Stripe. Stripe is how VPA Connect pays you. Until it's done, you see "Supplier Registration Incomplete" when you sign in. See Register as a supplier, part 7.
  3. Check Stripe has nothing outstanding. Open your Stripe dashboard and finish any task Stripe lists, so your payouts aren't held. VPA Connect doesn't tell you when Stripe needs something. See Stripe needs more information.
  4. Optional: connect Xero. Send your VPA Connect income and fees to Xero automatically. See Connect Xero. If you use MYOB AccountRight or QuickBooks, export your jobs instead (see Export your jobs for your accountant).
  5. Learn how you get paid. Jobs appear once the seller pays, and you ask for payment when the work is done. See Getting paid.
