The Payouts page

Updated 2 min read

Payouts lists the deposits Stripe has made, or is about to make, into your bank account. One deposit can pay for several jobs, so a deposit rarely matches one job's amount.

The Payouts page with one deposit: marker 1 on its payout date, marker 2 on the amount and marker 3 on its Paid status.

MarkerWhat it shows
1 Payout DateWhen the deposit arrives, or arrived, in your bank
2 AmountThe amount deposited
3 StatusPaid (in your bank), Pending or In transit (on its way), Failed or Cancelled (the money went back to your Stripe balance)

You can search by date, amount or the payout ID that starts with po_.

If you haven't been paid out yet, the page says "No payouts yet. Deposits appear here once Stripe pays your completed services out to your bank."

Which jobs is this deposit for?

Select a deposit to open it.

  1. Items in this deposit lists what the deposit paid for.
  2. Each line shows the invoice number (select it to open the invoice), the property and job, and the amount it added to the deposit.
  3. The count at the bottom says how many lines VPA Connect could match to your jobs, for example "All 2 items identified", next to the deposit total.

Why is the deposit less than the job amount?

  • One job, several deposits. A partial payment is paid out on its own; the rest follows when the agency releases your next request.
  • Several jobs, one deposit. Stripe combines everything released to you since the last payout. Open the deposit to see the list.
  • Something was taken off. A line marked "deducted from this deposit" (for example a refund or a Stripe adjustment) reduces the deposit.
  • A platform fee. VPA Connect doesn't take a supplier platform fee at present. If it ever does, each line shows the amount after the fee. The screenshots come from a test system where a fee is switched on.

A line that says "not linked to a service" is still part of the deposit and is counted in the total; VPA Connect just can't name the job.

When will the money arrive?

Stripe pays released money into your bank in about 2 business days. Your first payout can take 7 to 14 days (Stripe: payouts). If a payout Failed, check your bank details in your Stripe account (see Change your bank details, ABN or business name).
